Deborah Pryor-Moore, LICSW

As a therapist my role is to help my clients restore balance and find fulfillment in their lives. Together we look at what has been getting in the way of their happiness and explore solutions and strategies for change.

Through psychodynamic, spiritual and holistic approaches, I help clients learn to let go of the stresses and conflicts that keep them stuck in unproductive patterns. The focus is to help each person achieve the inner peace that leads to a productive and centered life.

For the past 20 years in private practice, I have worked extensively with individuals–including adults and adolescents–couples and families. I have helped clients manage struggles with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety and eating disorders and life issues such as relationship troubles, low self-esteem, sexuality issues, childhood and adult traumas and parenting. Together we evaluate strengths and difficulties and utilize new or existing tools to make changes. As a believer in helping clients balance all aspects of their lives, I encourage self-care and help clients develop a program that works–incorporating individualized approaches for each person.

My clients describe me as “easy to talk to” and “warm”. I incorporate humor into my practice as “laughter really is the best medicine”.

I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from Boston University as well as a Master’s in Divinity with a specialty in Pastoral Counseling.
