Laura Akeke, Clinical Social Work / Therapist, LICSW
Working with people who may be struggling with depression and/or anxiety—facing transitions or other challenging life circumstances—and issues of identity and diversity are special interests of mine. I respect the honor of hearing my clients’ life stories, supporting them through difficult times, and offering guidance as they learn ways to find and use their voices.
As a clinical social worker with 20+ years experience, I specialize in providing individual therapy for adults and adolescents. I recognize the power and impact of relationships and value collaborating with my clients as they grow in the ways most important to them.
I will listen carefully to your feelings and help you do the same. I have been called a “gentle tiger” because I am compassionate while handling and respectfully addressing the “tough stuff”. Please feel free to call me or e-mail me with any questions you may have about beginning therapy.
